Forming circular cut outs in raised floor panels
If a project requires a small number of circular cuts we can supply the correct hole saw (up to 152mm in diameter ) and arbour to accurately form the openings in the raised floor panel. Alternatively cut outs can be formed using a drill and jig saw however we have found that the tolerances achieved using this method of cutting can vary wildly and can compromise the structural strength of the grommet as the unit is sometimes not fully supported around the circumference of the flange. Our larger grommets are made with wider flanges to help compensate for cutting tolerances.
For projects which require a large number of cuts we would be pleased to quote you for the on site cutting of your floor panels. Our cutting crews are fully trained and insured to undertake this work using specially designed cutting equipment. All cut outs will be formed to exacting tolerances and waste material can be removed from site and disposed of through the correct recycling channels.
